I have read Kiersten White's earlier series Paranormalcy, and I was expecting a light fun book about "spies". But, was I wrong. This book blew me away! I will start by telling you about the characters. Fia has perfect instincts, they are never wrong, but even though she is very powerful she is broken. Her parents died in a car crash leaving her and her sister alone. Enter Annie. Annie is Fia's older sister and she is blind, but still strong. Like her sister, she has a unique ability - she is a Seer and can see glimpses of the future. Both of the girls are sent to a "school" for special girls. But, Fia quickly learns the truth.

Now, I know everyone is supposed to hate the bad guy. But I really can't in this book. James...sigh....... He is the new person in charge of the school, and he is also the son of the notorious Keane. All these characters put together make an amazing book.

What I loved:

• Strong female main character who kicks serious butt
• Swoon worthy bad guy
• Twists and turn I didn't see

What I wished were different

• At points in the book it kept switching times and that confused me.
• I wish the "good guy" had a stronger personality 

If you are looking for a book with a kick-butt heroine with lots of amazing things happening to her, then this is the book to read!!!

Surprise!

 I have been a very bad blogger, and I apologize. I will be writing much more now.

I recently was at the bookstore ( surprise surprise!!!), and I was looking through some new books, when all of the sudden I overheard someone ( in a very loud voice) giving their friend the entire summary of the book!!!!!!! THE ONE I WAS ABOUT TO GET!!!!!!!!!!

I like to call those books ruining heathens Book Eaters! Yes, just like in Harry Potter! Only instead of stealing your soul they steal your books. Sins of the Reader

We have a very serious topic to discuss ( well, more like me talk to myself about) today. I like to tell myself that it doesn't happen. I like to pretend its not a problem. but, it is. I'm talking about people......(dramatic silence) reading the....(crowd waits in suspense) .. LAST CHAPTER OF A BOOK FIRST (crowd gasps in horror, some even faint)!!!!!

I know! Who would do such things? Now, for all of you out there who are reading this and looking ashamed of yourselves, you need to know that you are not alone. But, the first step is admitting you have a problem, and if I might add ( who are we kidding, of course I am going to add) YOU NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!
So(takes calming breath), please, if you are reading last pages of books first, I highly recommend that you rethink your life. Because if you read last chapters first you need help.

Now on a happier note, leave a comment if you have the same feeling of reading the last chapters. The Waiting

When you first get a new book that you have been waiting for, what do you do? Well, if you are like me, you make yourself a little "cave" and burrow in until you are done. Well, thats all fun while you do it, but as soon as you are done The Waiting begins. Now, I know you are probably thinking" Wow, does Rachael not know anything about capitalization?".  I do! See The Waiting is new term I have come up with.

The Waiting (n.) - The Waiting is the excruciating time between reading a new book and waiting for the next to come out.

I am not a patient person. So, The Waiting is terrible for me. But.... today one of my Waiting periods are coming to an end! Today (drum roll please) the book called ( I was serious about the drum roll ) DEAD SILENCE comes out!!!!!! Dead Silence is the fourth book in the body finding series by Kimberly Derting. So I am now going to go into my own little book hibernation and read away. So go pick up a book and read, and if you are in The Waiting , I feel your pain. :) 

Different Degrees

I have been told that I am one of those "crazy" readers. But what does that even mean really? To me there are a couple of different degrees of book lovers.

Degree #1 (most mild case)
This case has symptoms such as

• Enjoying books in class
• Checking out a couple of blogs every once in a while
• Has a small self of books in your home.

Degree #2 ( average case)

• Enjoys books in class and loves going to the Library.
• Likes to read about the authors sometimes.
• Has a medium size case of bookshelves.

Degree #3 ( serious case)

• Reads books in class and loves to talk about it and continues the series after the class is done.
• Loves to go to Library and buy books because it was so good you need to own it.
• Has books everywhere; closet,bookshelves,tables,dest,floor.
• Stalks authors blogs.

Using my handy dandy chart above, you have to ask yourself a very serious question. What case are you?

I am a proud case of degree 3!

Book Hibernation

Well, I have just come out of what I like to call my "book hibernation , that's pretty much where I just read and only stop to pee and maybe eat. Soooo..... you may be asking yourself 'what kind of books/books could cause a person to go into hibernation ' I would then reply all books. DUH! But, this recent hibernation I had a couple of really good reads. Now drum roll please........

First of all, just look at the cover. Damn. Well, moving on now. This  book was pretty kick ass. It is about a girl named Anna ,who lives in a farm house with her father. Oh! And also the four hot guys in her basement. Got your attention now right? :) thought so. Well the boys ( Nick,Sam,Cas, and Trev) are all experiments and Anna helps her Dad in the lab with them. The all amnesia so they can not remember a thing. But one day, people from the Branch ( the program that hired Anna's father) come to take the boys. Well, as you can guess nothing goes right and it ends with the boys and Anna on the run. But, Anna starts to question who she can trust. Does she even know these boys? And the more scarier question does she even know herself.

This book was very very good. I loved how Anna was not some wimpy character, she could actually take care of herself  It has action, suspense  and as any good book some hot guys. But what happens to Anna and her "gang"? Well go buy it, borrow it, or check it out at a library.
